Have you seen your first butterfly or swallow of spring? Is it a good year for wild autumn fruits? Take part in Nature's Calendar and help scientists monitor the effects of climate change on wildlife.

  • Take a look at the list of species and events that you can record. Choose one or more that you can check at least twice a week.
  • Select the location where you'll be observing your species. Pick somewhere that you visit regularly, maybe your garden or a spot you pass on your way to work.
  • Look out for the seasonal events that happen to your species. Record the date that you first see each event. You can view your record instantly on the live maps.
