Fieldfares are migratory birds. They are winter visitors to most parts of the UK.
Nature’s Calendar monitors how early or late fieldfares arrive in the UK in the autumn/winter.
In a location that you monitor regularly (at least once a week), record the date in autumn/winter that you first see a live, active fieldfare after their summer absence from the UK. This is usually from mid-September.
Available historic data: we have records for the following dates; 1905-1913, 1923-1955, and 1973-1999
