Wood anemone
Anemone nemorosa
Flower: star like shape, 6 or more white, petal-like sepals, sometimes flushed pink or purple, one flower per stem.
Leaves: three deep palmate lobes, long stalks, arranged part way up stem.
Height: up to 30 cm.
Distribution: found in deciduous woodland.
