In a location that you monitor regularly (at least once a week), record the first time you see a live, active red admiral outdoors. This could be emerging adults or migrants.

Overwinters as an adult, sometimes successfully in Britain. Adults emerging from hibernation may be seen from March.

Migrants will arrive from the continent in May to June.
