Height: arching stems up to 3 m

Stems: hooked thorns grow on the stems.

Leaves: made up of 3-5 leaflets palmately arranged.

Flowers: white or pink, 5 petals.

Fruit: blackberries, compound fruit, black or dark purple when ripe.

Distribution: hedgerows and woodland.

Dewberry
